Siting & Validation


Siting 

With world-class siting technology you benefit from insights on meteorological conditions and historic wind data down to areas of 3x3 m. In addition, we apply performance data from turbines in the field, global meteorological data and data from various applications. Using all available information – from wind resources over turbine data to atmospheric conditions - enables us to find the best possible place for any wind farm. The ability to know and map a site in detail is key to predicting the energy output and service requirements over the life-time of a turbine. This again allows the customer to plan his business case with high certainty.


Validation Testing

Using virtual simulations we predict how turbines react and perform in different conditions and forecast how each individual turbine impacts nearby turbines. Advanced data analytics ensure you install the best possible solution by matching the site with the most optimal product.
 
In virtual environments we can insert the turbines as if they were operating in a real wind farm. And through accelerated lifetime simulations we can predict how the turbines react and perform in different conditions and proactively assist our clients in matching the specific site conditions with the best turbine fit for the site.


Forecasting

We forecast weather for the next ten minutes and up to seven months ahead. In forecasting, data is key to both operation and power production decision making – the more accurate the prediction, the easier it is for you to make the correct choice.
